Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was admitted to the New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday after the doctors found out there’s a blood clot in her body.
The 65-year-old U.S. cabinet official fell inside her home in mid-December and suffered a concussion that caused the blood clot, the location of which has not been revealed.
Clinton’s spokesman, Philippe Reines reportedly said the blood clot was discovered during a follow-up of the medical exam on her concussion which started last December 13.
“Her doctors will continue to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion. They will determine if any further action is required,” he said, according to reports.
